Controversial pop star, Janet Jackson, called it quits with her husband of five years just months after having her first baby, Eissa.
Jackson who married Quatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana, had been previously married to singer James DeBarger for a year in the 1980s and Mexican dancer René Elizondo Jr from 1991- 2000.
According to Daily mail who first broke the news, a source claimed;
“They are both busy but determined to be good parents, even if they are apart. It’s amicable and Eissa will stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London.”
The source, who is reportedly close to the couple, added that Jackson hadn’t been entirely comfortable with her marriage. “She thought he had become too controlling during the pregnancy and she had already allowed him to dictate her appearance and even the way she performed at concerts.”
The source also said that Janet Jackson was not allowed to be her normal sexual self on stage and in her trademark provocative videos. “It drove her crazy and she felt she was losing her fanbase.”
Fans are now left wondering how the estranged couple’s enormous wealth will be shared following their divorce.
